Golden Chain Fraternity’s petition to Thiru Ashok Anand, MLA

August 7, 2013
The Golden Chain Fraternity has published their petition that was submitted to Thiru Ashok Anand, the Member of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly. Thiru Ashok Anand has been aiding Raman Reddy, Sraddhalu Ranade & Co and on the behest of these trouble-makers has sought external interference into the internal affairs of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram.
Thiru Ashok Anand
Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Puducherry.
Dated 4th August, 2013

Dear Sir,

Sub:          Attempts  by  a  few  misguided   individuals   disturbing   the  peace  and harmony of the Ashram and Puducherry

We, the members of ‘The Golden Chain.’, the Alumni fraternity of Sri Aurobindo International  Centre  of  Education   (SAlCE), inmates of Sri  Aurobindo  Ashram  and devotees  from Pondicherry and  outside,  feel that  there is a calculated  attempt being made by a few disgruntled and misguided members  in the community with active help from outside to wrest power  from the present board of Trustees. These individuals will stop at nothing  to pursue their agenda, even if this results in damaging  the reputa.tion of the Ashram and create law and order  problems in this peaceful town.

These people, who  are  a small fraction  of the community,  have approached you with false  and  malicious  complaints with  the  sole  purpose of bringing  disrepute to  the Ashram leading  to external intervention. They have  not  been able  to provide  even a shred  of evidence  to point  out foul play. All that  they are doing is spreading baseless· allegations through  illegal meangtg ch. as pasting  illegal posters  across  the town  and distributing dubious  CDROMs with vulgar lies. We strongly urge you not to entertain these people.

I t pains us to see, that despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, you have chosen to  believe  these  people  with  questionable background   and  have  demanded  action against the Ashram. We urge you to tell these people to seek legal remedies under  the law of the land and not indulge in a campaign of vilification. Pondicherry is considered a spiritual  town. The Ashram  is its heritage.  We are  deeply  disturbed by the current events  and  look  up to  you  to ensure  that  the  Ashram  is left free  from any  kind  of disturbing influence from external  quarters.

Yours truly,

(Alumni Organization of Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education)
